Listen: Nancy Whang Made Us A Playlist For New Film, ‘I Think I’m Here’

We made a short documentary about one of our favorite musicians, Nancy Whang, called I Think I’m Here, and it’s playing now on MCTV.

Nancy is one of the more interesting people we know if for the simple fact that she seems completely uninhibited by the pressure to create or to produce - she is content to be who she is and live the life that she has cultivated, a contrast to her on-stage persona as a member of LCD Soundsystem and The Juan MacLean. She’s a weirdo, and we like that. It’s fitting, then, that when you ask what she has been listening to lately, she says, ‘nothing,’ and when you ask her to make a playlist, she says, ‘I’ll think about it,’ and when you tell her she can include podcasts, the gears loosen and something very good comes out. This may be the first playlist we’ve had that is mostly-podcast, but we don’t mind innovation.

Stream I Think I’m Here now on monsterchildren.tv.
