Introducing The Inaugural Wild For Wilderness Van Life event

Send the word out to your mates and roll on in with your van this 4th and 5th of November for the inaugural Wild For Wilderness Van Life event.

Pony Rider in association with Stone & Wood presents Wild For Wilderness, an initiative by The National Project, raising funds for our National Parks. Two huge days of good times, adventures by day and entertainment by night under the stars immersed in the beautiful surroundings of Glenworth Valley.

From 9am on Day One campers are invited to enjoy all that Wild For Wilderness has to offer. Unwind with a hike, take a relaxing paddle down the river, saddle up for a horse ride or take in a native food walk with Bush To Bowl. But, make sure you’re back from activities not too long after midday, when the Stone & Wood bar opens, serving ice cold beer. And if you’re feeling in the mood, Azteca Margarita will be salting the rims of cocktail glasses in the wild soon after. Enjoy local fare from food truck vendors catering for all dietary needs, and ensure you’re well caffeinated with coffees by Single O

As the sun gets lower in the sky, Northern Beaches one man band Off The Wally (Jake Harris) will kick off the live music, followed by a medley of curated adventure films by Adventure Reels. Inspiring you as the sun sets, our films will be intertwined between live music from Sydney based duo Salarymen, who combine vintage and modern influences in just the right balance to create their own brand of indie rock, commanding the attention of campers. Backing up is the addictively cheerful Bananagun, all the way from Melbourne in their own van. With their new album just released ‘The True Story of Banagun’ this 5 piece is sure to keep campers spirits high as we light a bonfire and toast the night with an ice cold Stone & Wood. Rounding out the night is everyone’s favourite vinyl slinger Johnny The Ladd, who will be perched high playing atop a vintage Ford ute tray.

Day Two will see those with clear heads jumping for joy in ice baths provided by Yeti enjoying a breathwork course by Sisuu having you feeling better than you ever thought humanly possible. After your shock to the system, follow up with meaningful movement by our yoga expert Laura Gonzales.

And while we want to see vans in all shapes and sizes, we’re also open to you getting creative with your home on wheels. Chuck a mattress in the boot or whack a swag on the roof of your hatchback. And if between you and your mates you can’t find a car big enough, we will have a limited number of glamping tents available for hire. So, come get your ye-haa on and come get lost in the beauty of Glenworth Valley with the inaugural Wild For Wilderness 2023, with thanks to our dear friends at Stone & Wood.

Wild For Wilderness is an 18 plus event. Gates open 9am Saturday 4th November and the event concludes at 11am Sunday 5th November.
