What Does Kaiit, Anderson .Paak and Whiskey Have In Common?

Just when you thought whiskey couldn’t get any better, Jameson has launched their inaugural music program initiative - Distilled Sounds with none other than Anderson .Paak as the mentor.

Bringing together twenty artists from around the world to the Jameson Sound Distillery in Ireland, Distilled Sounds will see artists write, record, produce and perform music together in a once in a lifetime collaboration project. This year, Naarm-based, Papua New Guinean-born artist Kaiit joins the international program representing Australia.

With her honeyed vocals, Kaiit is the perfect mix between R&B and soul. In 2018, Kaiit won the The Archie Roach Award for Emerging Talent at the Music Victoria Awards, then went on to win an ARIA for the inaugural Best Soul/ R&B Release for her track Ms. Shiny in 2019. She has since started her own record label Big Sis Energy, and opened for the likes of SZA, The Internet and Chaka Khan. When we’re big fans of Kaiit, we mean it.

True to the name Jameson play a pivotal role in distilling music from local artists, particularly elevating regional sounds to a worldwide stage. By giving a platform to bright-eyed up-and-comers with stories often not told or heard in the mainstream such as Kaiit, music proves itself once again as the hero that transcends borders. With a talent pool including Kaiit, a mentor in Anderson. Paak and a couple of whiskeys Distilled Sounds is set to be a melting pot of innovation, good times and even better music. We can’t wait to hear what comes from it.

Keep up to date with Jameson Distilled Sounds here.
