You can’t understand this band if you don’t move along with them. They are as much ‘Chicagoan angular post punk’ as they are ‘shaking my body like a sweaty confused snake’, something which became evident last last last week in Austin when they played our show, the Monster Children SXSW Official Showcase Presented by Sonny’s Porch. Even the shoulders of the most annoying middle-aged bespectacled balding ‘I used to know the guys at Sub Pop' curmudgeon in the crowd was compelled to move, especially during Esoteric. We’re just happy Sonny’s Porch was there to capture the magic.
