Just when you thought all the last good ideas were taken, LEASHBAR has gone and revolutionised surfboards with their no strings attached leash plug.

The more I think about why in the fuck we as surfers have taken this long to upgrade $1 piece of string to secure our legropes to our expensive, well loved surfboards the funnier it gets. But alas here we are. Designed and developed by surfboard shaper, manufacturer, and repairer of almost 30 years, Dylan Perese, the LEASHBAR helps to prevent string-induced tail damage while simultaneously improving leg rope swivel functionality by simply getting rid of that little string bastard. When tested against a selection of the market’s most popular leashes, not only did all tested leashes snap before a single LEASHBAR failed but fewer profanities were yelled by agro dickheads whose rail has just been ripped through. We love to see it. As it is manufactured through a single-shot injection moulding process LEASHBAR is currently exclusively available in all JS Industries HYFI 3.0 and Carbotune models (with PU models to follow shortly) until January 1, 2025 where it will open up to other shapers.
