Music And Banking? Up Showcases World First Data-led Immersive Experience

Music and banking aren’t exactly two things that first come to mind to go together, but given how much better music makes everything, it makes sense it would make banking better too.

In a world first data-led immersive experience, Up presented Hi—Fi: The Financially Sound System — a life-sized manifestation of their in-app financial wellbeing feature in the heart of Night Trade at Melbourne’s RISING festival, which ran from June 1-15. The activation merged art, music and money, with the Hi—Fi system itself doubling as a state-of-the-art DJ booth, featuring live sets from the likes of Cut Copy, Harvey Sutherland, Soju Gang, 3NDLES5 and more. The installation served as a physical representation of how Hi—Fi is integrated into the app, showcasing how Up is transforming ordinary financial tasks, such as money management into interactive and enjoyable experiences for a generation of young Aussies.

By merging real aggregated data and sounds from Australia's finest DJs, Up demonstrated that banking doesn't have to be boring. And just as the carefully curated in-app compositions empower its users to connect with their money, the two-week long installation served as a reminder that managing money can and should be an enjoyable experience for all. Up also teed up secret gigs within the historic Capitol Arcade as the presenting partner for Night Trade, in partnership with Triple R and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as part of their Secret Symphony series. If there’s one bank that is truly trying to kill money stress so you can focus on living life — it’s Up.
