‘lost’ oasis album surfaces
It’s not really a lost album, but it’s definitely the best thing they’ve released since 1997.
Here’s the scoop: a band called Breezer recorded an album and then used AI to add vocals by ‘Liam. So, it’s not really Liam singing, but it does sound an awful lot like him. In fact, it sounds so good that Liam himself described his AI voice as ‘Mega’. The project is called AISIS (get it)?
Like that one song by Greta Van Zeppelin, AISIS is pretty good, but you’ll hate yourself for enjoying something that is fake. According to Breezer, they embarked on the project because they were fed up waiting for Oasis to reform. ‘AISIS is an alternate reality concept album where the band’s 95-97 line-up continued to write music, or perhaps all got together years later to write a record akin to the first three albums,’ wrote Breezer in the vid description. ‘We’re bored of waiting for Oasis to reform, so we’ve got an AI-modeled Liam Gallagher to step in and help out. It seemed to be a perfect match, and we love how some of these have turned out.’
Pretty fucked when you think about it. Expect to hear the entirety of Kate Bush’s Hounds of Love sung by Kurt Cobain very soon…
Have a listen to AISIS below and leave your thoughts here.
