Introducing Monthly Club Nights At The Landsdowne

Here at Monster Children, we are always scouring for emerging and local artists because claiming you saw such and such in a room with x amount of people when they first started out is a bragging right we will always flex.

Everyone has an up-and-coming band story. Many years ago, I watched a band play in the backyard of a house party in Burleigh and I thought ‘that’s them, the next big thing.’ Unfortunately one of the girls in the band started sleeping with one of the guys in the band (a big no no) who was still in love with someone else so naturally it ended in a catastrophic blow-up on stage at one of their first gigs and they never played together again. I think she graffitied ‘ANAL’ on the bonnet of his car too. Heavy. Anyway this isn’t about bands going wrong but about bands going right!

Ground Level by Secret Sounds is a monthly club night in Sydney, set to provide an exciting platform for emerging artists to showcase their talents and connect with the local music community. Each monthly club night will feature an up-and-coming mix of artists from various music genres, including Hip-Hop, Rap, Hyper-Pop, and Post-Punk where fans and artists alike can discover new talent, network with others in the industry and connect with potential collaborators. The first instalment of Ground Level is kicking off at The Lansdowne Hotel, a long-term fixture of Sydney’s vibrant music scene on Thursday 18th May. The night will feature Western Sydney Hip-Hop artist Isaac Puerile, Sydney Electronic/Reggaeton artist Cherry Chola, Newcastle Hyper-Pop/Rap collective Craterface and Sydney SoundCloud rapper LILPIXIE. If you’re someone that likes being ahead of the pack when it comes to new music, we highly suggest getting down to one of these nights. Tickets are free, you just need to book your spot.
