Looking Back At Our Favorite enjoi Ads

Most, if not all, images/ads by Matt Eversole

enjoi, the board company that brought you Nestor Judkins, Bag of Suck, and made you think cigarettes were cool, is in dire jeopardy of falling apart. It’s still chugging along, but without a team, without Louie, and without a recovery in sight, it would appear that my childhood all-time favorite board brand will never be the same if not soon be completely gone. Truly devastating, the end of an era.

For over two decades of illustrious and disgusting service, enjoi proudly and efficiently put harmful toys and sarcasm in the hands of kids who weren’t allowed to sit at the cool kids’ table at lunch and never got asked to prom—the weird ones that smelled a little milky and made jokes about themselves—the ones like me, who needed it the most. I and many other degenerates will be forever grateful (cursed) by the influence that enjoi has had, but we will especially miss the ads. enjoi ads were terribly cutting, often offensive and confusing, and, if anything, convinced a good, clean, cool skater to stay away, which only drew the weirdos further in. Seeing as the end might be in sight, take a moment of comfort and laughter with some of our favorites from their published archive.
