Do A Trick At Woolstores, Win Prizes
To raise awareness of and support the Woolstores Forever campaign, we are holding a contest that is as simple as going skating. It is that easy.
Woolstores, the world famous ledge spot and Western Australia’s most beloved skate spots, is under threat of destruction by way of urban redesign. Woolstores has a long and illustrious history as a global skateboarding hub, but more importantly, as one of WA’s most well known and well-skated spots. People have travelled from all over the world to skate at Woolstores, and even beyond its immediate value as a daily spot for the WA scene, it is a piece of skateboarding culture - a bit of history in that slab of cement.
Thus, the contest is simple. Follow both us and Woolstores, skate the spot, post it, tag us. That’s it. That’s all there is to it. This isn’t a best trick contest, so even if you just do a 50-50, you have as good a shot at winning as if JB Gillet did another back 270 tail slide fakie. If you don’t skate but want to get involved, make a donation to the cause and send us the proof. This contest will run until next Wednesday, so get to it to win some prizes.
Now then, what’re the prizes? Excellent question, hypothetical you. Prizes include magazines (duh), shoes, decks, probably wheels, shirts, stickers, and whatever weird thing we have lying around our Sydney office. Maybe it’s a used condom, maybe it’s a check for ten thousand dollars, maybe it’s a signed Spanky Etch-a-sketch. You’ll have to win to find out. Best of luck, all. Long live Woolstores.
