Woolstores, the world famous ledge and one of Australia’s most beloved skate spots, is currently under threat of destruction due to redevelopment.

Efforts are underway to preserve Woolstores, and you can read all about those efforts. here. We are joining the Woolstores Forever campaign and invite you to join. This is specific to Western Aus skaters. Woolstores, the legendary skate spot in WA is currently under threat of dismantling due to redevelopment. There is a strong effort to save our beloved ledge from destruction, and we would like to join.

Follow @woolstoresforever on Instagram (and also @monsterchildren if you somehow don’t already), film a clip at the spot, post it on the gram (story is fine if you’re too noncommittal to post on the feed) and tag us both, and you will be entered to win a prize.

If you don’t skate, that’s fair enough, simply make a donation in a sum of more than five dollars and send us your receipt at editorial@monsterchildren.com and you’ll name will be put in the hat.

What’s the prize? Who knows? That’s for us to know and for you to find out. Maybe it’s a golden chalice. Maybe it’s a dinner date with Spike Jonze. Maybe it’s a pair of MC x Vans collaboration shoes and some magazines and some other notable bits of MC collectibles. It’s probably the latter.

MC is global, but our roots are in Aus and our hearts are in skateboarding, and we stand strongly behind the WA scene, its spots, and JB Gillet’s back 270 tail slide fakie.

Contest runs from today, July 2nd, until Monday, August 5th. Have fun. Good luck. Long live Woolstores.
