Monster Children

If I was on the Gold Coast this weekend, I would don my resort wear, gold chains and white shoes and head down to 19Karen gallery to see Mood Swings, a group show with art from the likes of Ben Frost and Vitor dos Santos. 

They've been doing it tough in East Timor for years, but through all this turmoil has come some crazy creativity. This book is coming out soon and documents some of the great street art that's going on. 

Rusty are putting on quite the show down in Margaret River next week. Music, Art, surf and a shit load of good times. Also showing is MC fav and great tennis player Ben Sullivan. Get there, throw your feet in the air and marvel at the great event. 

Friday March 12th is my sister's birthday, it's also the night of Wish Bone 2 at Goodgod, a night of fuzz fueled good times. You should go there, dance your priddy little feet off, have a couple of drinks and then enjoy a laser beam show in the weird front room. Cool. 

A whole new generation of cool skatey kids are going to be ripping with these father son/daughter shoes created by Etnies head honcho Pierre Andre Senizergues. Of course they are super rare but worth the hunt for your little grom.  

You thought Bondi beach was a scene on any given day? Wait for this coming weekend. Taj Burrow, Jordy Smith and some up and coming surfer called Kelly Slater are going to be surfing Bondi this Saturday and Sunday for the Boost Surfsho and the $25,000 that's up for grabs. Good luck finding a park. 

Not usually a huge fan of 'skate deck' art type deals, but this work by Haroshi is quite simply stunning.
