Punch The Camera is a bi-annual photography zine inspired by adventure, exploration, and open spaces. All things I personally am a big fan of. For the latest issue of the zine put together by Justin Parkhurst, I was lucky enough to be one of the photographers featured alongside Foster Huntington, John Kilar, Justin Parkhurst, Jim Mangan, Kevin Trageser, and Bryan Schutmaat. If you want a little taste of the wanderlust evoked by this book of photos you should pick up yourself a copy right here.
COMUNE is throwing a party at their headquarters in Los Angeles on June 15th. And not just any kind of party... the kind with rad live music, PBR, and pizza from Pizzanista. And it is all FREE! Well, except for the pizza since Pizzanista is just that damn good. But hopefully the free alcohol and music will make up for the fact that you have to pay for the pizza. I'm rambling now so I am going to stop.
COMUNE just debuted the first of a series “Shades Of Blackness” highlighting the personal and professional lives of their Drop City contributors. Kicking things of they created an intimate portrait of Warren Thomas, the man behind the band The Abigials, diving into his stuggles with life, drugs, and women. Worth a watch.
The Quite Life recently released their Mahalo Collection and damn do those hats look good. So good that they are already sold out, but this lookbook by Jared Eberhardt is worth sharing regardless. Keep an eye on the Quiet Life site for future releases but make sure you act fast because these things go quick.

This edit by my friend Kevin Castanheira might remind you of some other video directed by another friend of mine... but that's ok, because it is still a rad video that makes you want to go snowboarding. Featuring Thomas Young and Ty Modz riding through the streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan. You also have to love the song "Romantic" by RUN DMT.
Rhythm USA recently released their Spring 13 collection and to go along with it they put out this video featuring two good looking gentlemen frolicking around a vineyard. And for the ladies out there they also just debuted their women's line to the US, get a taste of that collection in this video.
Wednesday March 20th is the opening of Jim Mangan's latest art show "Time Of Nothing" at Martha Otero Gallery in Los Angeles from 6-9pm. The images in the show teeter between the real and imaginary, with landscapes all shot on a 35mm camera from a single engine plane 500 feet above the surface around the Great Salt Lake area. The results are these abstract shapes leaving you guessing whether these are paintings or photographs. To get a taste of what you can expect to see at the show check Jim's website here. And for more info on the opening and the show go to the event page. I'll be there lurking around, come say hi.
The guys over at Quiet Life just dropped the first part of their Spring 2013 Collection. Check out their new lookbook with Quiet Life contributor Christian Morin, then go to their online store to see the rest of the collection and pick up some pieces for yourself.
The jewelry brand Kontraho just released their new collection "Atargatis". To accompany the new line, they released this beautiful video featuring the lovely miss Jenny Parry shot by Kevin Castanheira. Jewelry for the girls... nudity for the guys, everyone's happy.
"walk where you aren’t supposed to walk. breathe air whilst living underwater. prove that boundaries are fictitious. exist in places youve never existed. atargatis is for you. and please, do not follow any of the rules." - Kontraho

I am a sucker for road trips, so as soon as my friends Andrew Arthur and Travis Hetz invited me on a spontaneous mission to Zion National Park I couldn’t really turn it down. The three of us piled into the car and made the 6.5 hour drive from Los Angeles to Utah. The days were spent trekking through the park on hikes I questioned if I would make it back alive from, and the nights were spent drinking way too much whiskey (if that is possible) in the comfort of the cabin we rented. On our way back home we swung through Valley Of Fire State Park in Nevada to wander around yet even more rocks. This gallery is a taste of what my camera captured over the course of those three days.
Just remember that the holidays are here and you've been too lazy to buy any presents? Check out these cases and skins for all your Apple products made from real wood by Recover, a small brand out of Portland, OR. If you're feeling extra generous they can even do custom engravings. Or hell, forget the people you are supposed to buy gifts for and purchase yourself one, they are worth it and damn do they look good.
For a while now, Stance Socks have adorned the feet of action sports enthusiasts and creative alike. But after noticing a gap in the market they decided to cater to the female audience as well, hence the launch of their women’s holiday line. Whether you’re snowboarding, lounging around your house in your underwear, or going out to cause trouble there is a sock in this line for you. Check out this video that any girl or guy can appreciate, then head over to their site to check out the full lookbook.
