Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away this morning near his Southern California Home. He was 49. Hanneman was in hospital when he suffered liver failure. Give Reign in Blood a burn for Jeff.
Singer-guitarist Ben Harper is helping to raise money for the family of Australian pro skateboarder Lewis Marnell, whose untimely death in January at the age of 30 left his family in dire financial straights. A lifelong skateboarding enthusiast and friend to skaters around the world, Harper has reunited with the Innocent Criminals for the first time since 2007 to re-record the song “Jah Work” from his 1997 album, “The Will to Live.” The song is now available here, with all proceeds going to the Lewis Marnell family memorial fund.

Last week we spent some time strolling the streets with legendary street artist Futura who was in Melbourne as a part of his whirlwind global tour for the launch of the Hennessy V.S. Futura limited edition bottle.
There was a live-paint session at Thursday's launch party and we scored a customized bottle for ourselves, where the over-excited crowd completely ravaged the place of anything resembling the collaboration.
