The Low Key Maniac We Know And Love

What is there to say about Craig Anderson that hasn’t been said already?

Especially here at Monster Children, where he has been a part of our family since forever. Dane Reynolds describes him as ‘lowkey one of the gnarliest dudes,’ and well, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves really. With blind ambition in the water while being the most grounded human on land. In the fourth episode of Pack Heavy Chase Light by DB, we watch as the same old humble Craig squirms in front of a camera when it comes to talking about himself.

Although Craig is no stranger to a camera being pointed at him all day from the water, everyone knows all that extra stuff just isn’t what he has ever been about. With no shortage of talent, Craig is someone who just seems to float through life with a certain something that you just can’t put a finger on. It’s exactly the reason why Craig usually claims a place in anyone’s top five favourite surfers, and how he’s successfully moved into cobuilding FORMER.

Having built a life as a free surfer chasing empty waves being able to pack heavy (maybe not heavy when it comes to Craig’s Hayden Shapes boards dimensions but certainly a lot of them), and chase light on surf hunts in hard to get places is as important for Craig as it sounds impossible. DB’s award-winning surf-specific board bags make it happen though having been designed as an accessory to all the best surf missions, not the main event, so that everyone can focus on the surfing in the same sense that Craig has always let his surfing do the talking for him. No more packing towels and clothes strategically around the tails and noses and praying that the baggage handlers woke up on the right side of the bed, check out DB’s collection of bags here.
